We worked with a renowned chain of hospitals to help with the strategic alignment and vision, mission and value building. They are a multi-specialty hospital with approximately 6 units and counting. Their vision is to be known as a leading hospital in multi-specialty treatment and to be the go-to hospital to deal with and overcome complex situations. Their focus here was to broaden their reach by setting up two hospitals that were equipped with the best technology and medical talent.

Situation

Having been known as a single specialty hospital for a long time, the executive leadership team has worked to change that image. The hospital is now being recognized as one of the frontrunners in multi-specialty treatment. In line with this task, the leadership wanted to set up two new state-of-the art high end specialty units. The goal is to equip these two hospitals with world class technology and the best medical talent in the country. To do so they had to clearly map out their vision before they broke ground on establishing the new units.

Action

We worked with the senior leadership team through various visioning activities. Across Multiple discussions, we aimed to find the reason behind these new units and worked towards creating an independent identity for each unit. We went through multiple rounds of ideation to find the perfect fit, that not only resonated with the senior leadership team but also helped bring the new units to life, as well as formed the foundation for all the future policies and processes.

Outcome

We strategically aligned the new units to the existing organizational framework. We also created a detailed design document on the vision, mission and values of the new units that formed the base of their future policies
